Terms and Conditions
As a day care and boarding service for dogs, we ask you as the client to adhere to the following conditions.
- Springfield Dog Centre (DC) reserves the right to make or change minor points or amendments in this agreement without notice to you, and to notify you by posting an updated version of these Terms on the website, at which point they become immediately effective.
- Under the Control of Dogs Act 1992, your dog(s) must wear a collar and identity tag and must be microchipped.
- Your dog must have up-to-date vaccines and vaccination certificates or titre testing must be provided to Springfield DC. Any updates and/or changes on vaccination certificates should be notified to the Centre Manager as soon as possible.
- You agree to worm and de-flea your dog(s) regularly as per recommended schedules.
- Your female dog must not attend day care while on heat. Male dogs over 12 months who are not neutered will not be suitable for day care and dogs under 12 months will be assessed on an ongoing case-by-case basis. Intact males will not be suitable if they exhibit inappropriate behaviours such as aggression or habitual territory marking. Please read the Neutering Policy document in the FAQ section or request a hard copy.
- Your dog will be in an open play area and off lead in suitable areas. During normal dog play and agility, dogs may sustain slight injuries. All dog play is monitored at Springfield DC to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, and other injuries may occur despite best supervision.
- Even if your dog is vaccinated against Bordetella (Kennel Cough), there is a chance your dog can still contract Kennel Cough. You agree not to hold Springfield Dog Centre Ltd responsible if your dog contracts Kennel Cough while attending Springfield DC and you will comply with the prevention of cross-infection policy.
- You agree to notify Springfield DC of any infectious or contagious disease your dog has been exposed to or is affected by and agree to the Springfield Dog Centre Cancellation Policy and Prevention of Cross Infection Policy.
- You agree to notify Springfield DC of any changes regarding your personal contact details.
- You agree to notify Springfield DC of any changes regarding your dog’s behaviour, training needs, health issues, and/or any other relevant details that might affect your dog while in the care of Springfield DC.
- Your dog(s) will be re-assessed for day care at the current day care re-assessment fee if they have not used services for 6 months since their last stay with us, or after 3 months if entire.
- You understand that you are responsible for any harm caused by your dog at Springfield DC, whether to dogs, other patrons, or staff. You shall indemnify and hold Springfield DC harmless against claims, losses, or damages resulting from your dog. In admitting your dog to Springfield DC, staff rely on your representation that your dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behaviour toward any person or dog. Springfield DC strongly recommends Third Party Liability Pet Insurance and general Pet Insurance; if your dog is not covered, you remain responsible for related veterinary, injury, and property damage costs.
- If your dog requires medical care, Springfield will first contact your usual vet but may contact its own approved vet if yours is not available. In either case, you are responsible for costs.
- To ensure your dog’s wellbeing, you agree to your dog going into the quiet area for rest periods when necessary.
- Although every effort is made to provide enclosed, safe spaces, Springfield DC cannot guarantee a dog will not escape from the premises. Fencing at the centre is installed at a minimum height of 6 feet. If your dog tends to jump fences, you assume all risks of bringing your dog to the premises and release Springfield DC, its owners, employees, or agents from related liability.
- Springfield DC reserves the right to withdraw current promotions, deals, offers, or discounts at any time.
- By becoming a Springfield DC user, you agree and consent to Springfield DC storing your personal details and your dog(s) personal details provided via the day care registration form. Springfield DC will never pass on or sell your personal information. Membership information is stored in a secure database and used for facility access and account administration.
