Meet and Greet
During the Meet & Greet we observe your dog's reaction the moment they walk through the door. How does your dog respond to the noise of other dogs? How does your dog engage with our team? Is your dog relaxed or tense?
All dogs joining Springfield day care are assessed to ascertain that an open plan, cage free environment is right for your dog and that your dog is a suitable candidate for Dog Day Care.
The Springfield Dog Centre Team
If your dog is deemed suitable to progress after meet and greet, they are invited to attend day care for a thorough in-house assessment over 4 hours with close monitoring by our play team.
During the Meet & Greet we observe your dog's reaction the moment they walk through the door. How does your dog respond to the noise of other dogs? How does your dog engage with our team? Is your dog relaxed or tense?
On their first day, they are introduced to dogs of a similar temperament. Once settled, we gradually introduce other dogs attending day care. The aim is to help your dog make canine friends and avoid overwhelm.
If at any point your dog appears uncomfortable, we immediately remove them from the situation. We then review why this happened and work on a positive plan that works for everyone.
At the end of the assessment period, owners receive updates on behaviour, friendships, play interactions, and activities. If there are any issues, we provide advice and explain the management strategies used in day care.
Complete the assessment form and we will be in touch to arrange an assessment session for your dog.
